Fashion & Textiles Full-Circle T shirt

Fashion & Textiles collaborated with leading New Zealand designers Wynn Hamlyn, Kate Sylvester and Twenty-seven Names to produce an organic cotton, fully traceable printed t-shirt, with specially designed prints by each brand.

The Fashion & Textiles full circle T-shirt has been developed to showcase a circular and sustainable future for the industry. The T-shirt is manufactured in NZ, from 100% certified organic cotton made in a transparent supply chain. Each T-shirt features a bespoke print from one of three Fashion & Textiles designers and is fully recyclable back into new fibre at the end of its life.

Fashion & Textiles NZ's Chief Executive Jacinta FitzGerald explains: "The story behind these T-shirts demonstrates what it truly means for a garment to be circular and responsibly made."

"Each T-shirt is made from organic cotton grown and produced in a fully certified supply chain. They are manufactured, printed and finished in New Zealand with a pathway to be recycled back into new fibre at the end of their life once they are no longer repairable or wearable."

Fashion & Textiles encourages the t-shirts' owners to love and cherish their full-circle T, repair them when needed and caring for them well through mindful washing and drying to give them a long and vibrant life. When each T-shirt reaches the point where it is no longer wearable, Fashion & Textiles asks for the T-shirts to be returned so it can close the loop on the T-shirts life. Fashion & Textiles through a partnership with New Zealand company Little Yellow Bird will facilitate the recycling of them back into new fibre.
